This 5 days Uganda Adventure Safari starts and ends in Entebbe International Airport. Meet eye to eye with the amazing Primates of Uganda in their natural habitat, one of Africa’s major highlights. This close encounter with these amazing apes is simply breathtaking.  Also get a close encounter with other diverse African wildlife, beautiful landscapes, and amazing culture and if you are a keen Birder, this is the place to be!

Day5: Transfer to Semiliki Airstrip for a Flight Back Home

Detailed Itinerary

Day1: meet and greet and Transfer to the Hotel

Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport where your Uganda Adventure Safari starts by our representative who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities.  Your will then be transferred to your hotel where you will be briefed about your adventure safari.

Depending on the time of arrival you are advised to have money Changed on this day and time allowing you may go for city tour with the help of our driver/guide, visit the shopping Malls around town and craft villages to get items which you may need while in upcountry

Day2: Morning Private Leisure Transfer to Semiliki National Park – stopover in Fort Portal for Tea Experience

After your morning breakfast, begin your journey to Tooro – Semiliki Wildlife Reserve. Drive south via Mubende to Fort Portal through verdant countryside passing through traditional homesteads, farms and Tea Estates for an experience with a local guide.

You will have lunch in a selected Restaurant in Town. And later proceed to Semiliki Wildlife Reserve, reaching in time to relax and enjoy Dinner.

Day3: Morning Boat Cruise on Lake Albert – Proceed for a Full Day walking safari to the Hot springs

In the morning, we will transfer to Lake Albert where we will have boat safari to only encounter with great numbers of the shoebills, and other most attractions; African pygmy goose, Blue Breasted and Blue cheeked Bee – eater as well as the Blue – headed Coucal.

Depart after lunch for the hot springs tour. Enjoy a full day pursuing the Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve, The Park is dominated by the easternmost extension of the great Ituri Forest of the Congo Basin. This is one of Africa’s most ancient and bio-diverse forests; one of the few that survived the last ice age, 12-18,000 years ago. Your guide will point out and explain the park’s diversity of wildlife and flora and fauna. The Sempaya hot springs are Semliki’s most famous attraction. There’s a “male” spring, known as Bintente, measuring 12m in diameter and is set in a lush swampy clearing. The “female” spring Nyasimbi, meaning “the female ancestors”, is a boiling geyser (103°C) which spurts bubbling water and steam up to two meters high – the steam cloud can be seen from as far as 2km away. Local residents used to cook their food in these boiling pools.

Day4: Morning Primate Trekking – Afternoon Game Drive

You will wake up to a 3 – 4 hours trek that starts from Semiliki safari lodge after briefing by the local ranger guides to the forest in search for the key primate species that include the Chimpanzees, Red tailed monkey, Vervet, black and white Columbus monkeys, naughty baboons while the other wildlife may include the waterbucks, warthogs, bush bucks, Buffalos, Uganda Kobs and Elephants.

In the late Afternoon, lead to the open savannah grassland of Tooro Semiliki Wildlife Reserve where you can have either an afternoon guided game drive in search for small forest and larger savannah elephants which will be spotted easily with the help of your guide. Many other animals such as waterbucks, warthogs, and bush bucks, Buffalos, Uganda Kobs and Elephants can easily be seen with a good chance to encounter a leopard and Bushbabies or even the white tailed mongoose.

Day5: Transfer to Semiliki Airstrip for a domestic flight transfer to Entebbe international Airport where you will enjoy an onward Flight Back Home
