Safari Overview

This 3 days – Express Primate Expedition in Nyungwe National Park provides ultimate chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe forest. Nyungwe Forest National Park is found in the farther Southern section of Rwanda, 6 hours’ drive away from Kigali capital and extends for about 1000sq.kms, sheltering important wildlife species including 13 primate species, 310 species of birds.

Brief Itinerary

Day1: Arrive at Kigali international Airport – Enjoy a Road trip/ Helicopter transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Day2: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience – Afternoon Tea Plantation Experience
Day3: Morning Relaxation at the Lodge, Have early lunch and a road trip/ Helicopter transfer back Kigali international Airport for your flight back home/nest destination

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Kigali international Airport – Enjoy a Helicopter transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Meet and greet at Kigali International Airport where you’re Primate Expedition express Safari starts by our representative who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities.  Your will then be transferred to Nyungwe National Park. Depending on your means of transfer and arrival time, you will either reach in time for Dinner or lunch or then relax as you await the next adventure.

Overnight: One and only Nyungwe House

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience – Afternoon Tea Plantation Experience

After your Breakfast, begin your day 2 of the 3 days Rwanda express primate safari with visit Uwinka reception to meet the park official for briefing about the chimpanzee trekking rules. Set off to search for a habituated chimp community in Nyungwe Forest via Uwinka area and this will be for 2-4 hours and it includes one hour of close encounter.

After a Hot lunch, enjoy a tea Plantation Experience – The Rich volcanic soil gently sloping is the main secret behind the perfect cup of tea that starts right here in Gisakura Tea Estate. Hugging the rippling hills at the western fringes of Nyungwe National Park, This estate is among the most famous of Rwanda’s tea plantations and is certainly the most spectacular.

Day 3: Morning Relaxation at the Lodge, Have early lunch and a Helicopter transfer back Kigali international Airport for your flight back home/next destination.
