Dear Guest,
As you plan your trip with us, we want to express our sincere appreciation for choosing Giant Gorilla Safaris. Your trust in us drives our team to deliver exceptional service. We kindly request that you read through the following policies, and feel free to reach out with any further questions regarding your booking.
Payment Policy
To confirm your booking, a 50% deposit of the total invoice amount is required. The remaining balance is due 45 days before your journey begins.
For bookings made within 45 days of the tour start date, full payment will be required at the time of confirmation. For last-minute reservations, payments can be made via cash (USD) or bank transfer.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans may change. In the event of a written cancellation, refunds will be processed based on the following schedule, keeping in mind that most services will have already been paid for:
Please note that gorilla and chimpanzee tracking permits are 100% non-refundable, as per Uganda Wildlife Authority guidelines.
For unforeseen circumstances preventing travel, service providers may offer partial refunds according to their policies. We encourage guests to consider postponing their trip to avoid additional fees, unless there are changes due to travel seasons or new requirements.
Force Majeure
Giant Gorilla Safaris cannot be held liable for events beyond our control, such as war, civil unrest, natural disasters, pandemics, transportation issues, or adverse weather conditions. In these cases, refunds may not be possible, though we will make every effort to recover funds from suppliers and pass them on to you.
Visa Requirements & Passports
Please ensure you meet the visa requirements for your travel by checking online. It is the guest’s responsibility to obtain a valid visa prior to departure. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond your final travel date. Giant Gorilla Safaris is not responsible for cancellations or changes due to visa or passport issues.
Photography Advice
Given the rugged and often dusty terrain on safari, we recommend packing sensitive photographic, electronic, and filming equipment in dust-proof bags for protection.
Safety and Security
At Giant Gorilla Safaris, your safety is our priority. The East African region is generally safe and stable, and when traveling with us, you will stay at carefully selected lodges and camps where security is assured.
Staying Safe on Safari
Our safari guides are trained to prioritize your safety at all times. Please follow their instructions and adhere to park rules during wildlife viewing. For self-drive safaris, keep a safe distance from wildlife and only exit your vehicle in designated safe areas.
Staying Safe in Cities and Towns
While East African cities are generally safe, we advise you to take standard precautions when exploring on your own. Seek advice from your hotel, avoid carrying valuables, limit the amount of cash you carry, and always use a taxi after dark.
Safari Rates
All rates are subject to availability at the time of booking and are non-transferable to other parties.
Travel Insurance
It is essential to have comprehensive insurance for your trip, especially for safari activities. Your policy should cover cancellation costs, medical expenses(including evacuation and repatriation), and personal belonging. We recommend that you review your insurance policy thoroughly and bring a copy on your trip. It is your responsibility to ensure your coverage is suitable for your needs.
Our Commitment
At Giant Gorilla Safaris, we are passionate about creating unforgettable experiences in East Africa. Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are excited to welcome you and share the wonders of Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania with you.
