Day1: Arrive and Transfer to your Hotel

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide who will assist with your transfer to your hotel. Take this time to unwind after your journey and enjoy the serene atmosphere of Kigali, one of Africa’s cleanest and most vibrant cities. Settle into your comfortable accommodations as you prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Time allowing, we will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a solemn and significant site officially opened in 2004 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. This memorial stands as a place of remembrance and reflection, where families and communities come to mourn their loved ones. Today, it serves as a powerful museum, offering both Rwandans and international visitors the opportunity to learn about the history, causes, and devastating consequences of the genocide, as well as Rwanda’s remarkable journey toward healing and reconciliation.

Day2: Akagera NP for game drive and Boat Cruise on Lake Ihema

Begin your adventure with a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s premier savannah reserve, located in the country’s east. After breakfast Head out early for an exhilarating chimpanzee trekking adventure in Nyungwe Forest. Watch them swing from trees and interact with each other in their natural habitat—a truly rewarding experience. In the afternoon, enjoy a canopy walk, offering incredible views of the forest from above as you stroll along a suspended walkway.

Day5: Morning Black and white Columbus Monkey Tracking

After breakfast, start your morning with an exciting trek to track the black-and-white colobus monkeys, one of Nyungwe Forest’s most iconic primates. Day6: Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park

Day11: Hike to Dian Fossey Grave – Visit the Guardian Villag

On your final day in Rwanda, you will embark on a meaningful hike to the grave of Dian Fossey, the renowned primatologist whose tireless work in gorilla conservation has left an indelible mark on wildlife preservation. After breakfast, you’ll set out on a guided trek through the verdant forest, immersing yourself in the same beautiful landscape that Dian dedicated her life to protecting. The hike to her grave is not only a tribute to her legacy but also a chance to reflect on the importance of conservation efforts for mountain gorillas and their habitats.

After paying your respects, you will visit the nearby Guardian Village, where you can learn about the local community’s efforts in conservation and the ways they support gorilla protection initiatives. Following this enriching experience, you’ll transfer back to Kigali, where a city tour awaits.
