Afterward, you’ll head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing by experienced park rangers who will provide guidelines and insights into the mountain gorillas’ behavior. Following this, you’ll embark on your guided trek through the dense, misty forest in search of these magnificent creatures. The hike may range from a few hours to half a day, depending on the location of the gorilla family, but the journey itself is filled with stunning scenery and the sounds of the forest. When you finally encounter the mountain gorillas, it’s a breathtaking and humbling moment as you observe them up close—watching as they feed, play, and interact within their natural habitat. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Iby’iwachu Cultural Village, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by the local community.
