This 14-day Family Safari with Giant Gorilla Safaris is designed to offer an unforgettable adventure for families, embracing Uganda’s remarkable wildlife, culture, and landscapes. Whether your family includes a member who is physically challenged and uses a wheelchair, rest assured, this safari is wheelchair-friendly. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of all family members, regardless of mobility or age.

If any family member is in a wheelchair, we kindly request that you inform our team during your inquiry, so we can tailor the experience to meet their needs. For primate tracking, we offer sedan chairs and extra porters to assist, or alternatively, Joellets can be brought by the guests for enhanced support. Our knowledgeable guides will be on hand to assist with the wheelchair, helping to fold, carry, and ensure smooth transitions throughout the journey.

For families with infants or children below the age limit for gorilla or chimpanzee tracking—gorilla tracking is allowed for ages 15 and above, while chimpanzee tracking is for ages 12 and above—alternative activities can be arranged. Rest assured, we will ensure that everyone stays engaged, with suitable alternatives to keep younger family members in close proximity to their guardians or parents. For infants, we can provide a helper who will care for your baby during primate tracking sessions.

Additionally, we kindly request that you provide us with details regarding any dietary requirements, disabilities, or medical conditions for each family member. Day 1: – Welcome to Uganda!

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the friendly team from Giant Gorilla Safaris will be there to warmly welcome you and ensure your family’s adventure starts smoothly. After completing immigration formalities, you’ll be introduced to your dedicated guide, who will accompany you throughout the safari. For families with special needs, such as wheelchair assistance, necessary arrangements will be made from the moment you land. You’ll then enjoy a brief, scenic transfer to your comfortable hotel in Entebbe, where our team will assist with check-in and ensure all special requests, including dietary or medical needs, are met. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax or enjoy optional activities such as a guided walk along the shores of Lake Victoria, a visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, or a peaceful sunset boat ride on the lake. In the evening, unwind with a delicious dinner at the hotel, specially tailored to your family’s preferences, before settling in for a restful night to prepare for the exciting adventures ahead.

Day 2: Journey to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary - thrilling rhino trekking
