The 25 Day – Glamping and Camping Safari with a chef starts and ends in Entebbe international Airport. With more than just an ordinary expert led wild experience, we embrace the traditional way of camping without eliminating the luxury – we fill in the gaps of hustle while preparing meals, pitching tents, cleaning utensils and purchasing items with our experienced chefs and guide who will always arrange your safari mobile dinning and you can cook along with them. Yet we also learned how much many of the guests had busy schedules that have kept you away from your family attention and here our safari setting with Bush canvas and self-tenting will make you do a lot with your family together.

Day 25: Meet and greet with our office Representative of whom you will share your remarks and experience with – Transfer to Entebbe international Airport for your early check in and Outbound Flight Back home or to the next destination.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Meet and greet at Entebbe international Airport – transfer to your Glamping Guest House
Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport where your Uganda Safari starts by our representative who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. Your will then be transferred to your guest house where you will be briefed about your adventure safari.

Depending on the time of arrival you are advised to have money Changed on this day and time allowing you may go for city tour with the help of our driver/guide, visit the shopping Malls around town and craft villages to get items which you may need while in upcountry. Your chef will also be making his shopping today thus you can join him.

Day 2: Morning Road Transfer to Jinja – Pitch your Tent at Nile River Camp with help of your Chef and Guide
Wake up in the morning and meet and greet with your private chef who will always be with you on the days of traditional camping along your guide. We transfer to Jinja, the adventure Capital of Uganda with a variety of different Adrenaline filled activities to choose from. Upon reaching Jinja, we will pitch our tents and the chef will begin his duty, preparing your delicious dish and coffee.

Meanwhile depending on the time you arrived in Jinja and how you wish to end your day, you may perfectly sum up this day with a sunset boat cruise on River Nile at an extra fee only to come across lots of bird species, different vegetation types among others. You will return at the campsite when your dinner is set.

Day 3: Enjoy a Full Day rafting on the Series of Grade five Rapids on the Nile
After a Breakfast, we lead to the starting point of our rafting and here we will be given a briefing and then we will explore the Nile Valley through rafting grade five series of World class rapids on the Mighty white River Nile! You may try diving to swim if you can swim, this will sum up a thrilling day! After a tense day congratulate yourself with a Glass of Wine or Whisky or beer!

Return to the camp for dinner because your lunch will be provided by the rafting team.

Day 4: Tube the Nile with a Snack and sparkling drink
Today is another day of exploring the Nile but in a much relaxed way. We will tube the Nile with our drinks and snacks as we play with the waters of the Nile. We may choose to have this activity in the Afternoon or in the Morning and later on a half day, we may spend it at the poolside, bar side or we may Cycle through Communities where we will mix, learn and enjoy our Culture. You may ride along the Bujagali road where you will have an opportunity to visit Kilombero weavers at an extra fee $30 per person or you may visit the source of the Nile and enjoy a boat cruise to the Napoleon Gulf at an extra fee. Day 5: Morning leisure transfer to Sipi Falls
Have breakfast and carry your packed lunch well packed by your chef, we immediately transfer further to the eastern part of Uganda Kumi District, Proceed just by the little village of Nyero you will discover 3 Rock Cave Shelters where you will view some of the oldest rock paintings in Uganda dating back to the Iron Age – If you have an interest in archaeology!

Nyero Ancient Rock Paintings Caves are a best site to be visited for the History. Meet the Natives of the Place who are the Present day Iteso though they are not believed to have been the people who drew the pictures that make up the Nyero Rock Paintings as well there are no written records as to who did. However, some tales reveal that Batwa like people lived in the area before the Iteso People and therefore they are the one’s responsible for the paintings though there are no record of them hence remains a
Mystery!

Later Transfer to Sipi Falls. You may have an optional guided sundowner hike to the view point where you are most likely to have the best views of the falls, part of the Mountain Elgon Peak and ranges, Iteso Plains and part of the Karamojong Plains plains and most romantically you will watch the sun setting as the rays disappear through the rocks, cliffs, caves and green platatntions.

Day 6: Morning guided hike to all the three falls that make up spectacular Sipi region
Arise early morning and enjoy your breakfast and the sun rise on the plains- We will have a guided hike and nature walk, we shall tackle three falls that make up Sipi. The visit of the three falls involves hiking a trail network that is characterized by a steep and Slippery path, mud on rainy days, climbing ladders and going through farms as well as Checking on caves. Day 7: Morning relaxation or enjoy optional cycling through the scenic area with a guide – in the Afternoon we will have a Coffee Experience
Spend the morning at the lodge or speak to the lodge manager if it is possible to have optional activities such as cycling through the communities at an extra fee. Alternatively, await the afternoon and enjoy a guided coffee tour with a site guide where you will be taken through plantations to learn about how coffee is plantated and later you will be taken where it is processed and you will be showed the process from planting to consumption. Day 8: Wake at leisure, we will transfer to Moroto – Optional guided sunset Cycling through the Manyattas, your guide and chef will pitch your tent at Karatunga Guest house
Have Breakfast and Transfer to Moroto, You will reach in time to set up your temporary home with the help of your team. You will relax at the campsite or have cycling adventure through the Manyattas with your guide at an extra fee. Overnight: Traditional Camping at Kara – Tunga Guest House

Day 9: Morning hike to Mount Moroto – Visit the Tepeth tribe and enjoy their cultural stories, relax in the Afternoon
Have Breakfast and have a guided hike to Mount Moroto – here you will have the best view of Karamojong Plains, you will later proceed with a guided visit to the Tepeth tribe who are said to be the original settlers of the Karamoja planes. They were socially hunters and food/fruit gatherers but later, due to famine caused by decline in Wildlife Population in 1970 and early 80s as well as increase in human population, they later adapted Agro-pastoralism to boost on the way of living in their livelihoods. Day 10: Morning transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park – relax the whole afternoon at the lodge Glamping
After morning breakfast, transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park, You may carry a snack or full packed lunch well prepared by your chef in order to have a leisure calm drive to Kidepo Valley National Park. Today we will be Glamping at one of the Lodges around the park, enjoy the wild untamed enclosure of the real African Wilderness. Overnight: Kidepo Savannah Lodge(Safari Tents)

Day 11: Bush Breakfast prepared by the lodge and full day guided game drives and Optional sunset walking safaris at an extra fee
After breakfast, carry packed lunch in order to have a full day wilderness survey, we drive to the Narus Valley via the Palm tree lined Kidepo river in search for Leopard tortoise, lions, cheetah, Zebra, Waterbuck, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Warthogs, Patas monkeys and big herds of Buffalo leading to the Kanangorok Hot springs.

You may crown the day with an optional guided safari walk to Rionomde Rock at an extra fee

Day 12: Morning Cultural encounters with the Karamojong community – Relax the whole Afternoon
Spend the Day with the Ik people in Morungule Mountain. They are the ethnic group numbering about 10,000 people living in the Morungule Mountain of northeastern Uganda near the border with Kenya. The Ik were displaced from their land to create the Kidepo Valley National Park and consequently suffered extreme famine due to the raids they suffered from their tribe’s mates. They are subsistence farmers who grind their own grain and are very remote and very interesting socially, they live in small villages arranged in clusters, which comprise the total community with each village surrounded by an outer wall. Day 13: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Your guide and chef will pitch your tent at the Camping site designated by Uganda Wildlife Authority
Have a morning breakfast and carry packed lunch prepared by your chef and head to Murchison Falls National Park. You will reach in time to pitch your tent at a designated place for camping by Uganda Wildlife Authority. Your chef and guide will be on their duty preparing your dinner and laying your dinner table. Day 14: Morning guided game drives and Bush Breakfast prepared by your chef – Afternoon boat safari, hike to the top of the falls
Arise very early in the morning for your game drive and Bush Breakfast on the northern bank of the River Nile in your open-roof vehicle which will give you an excellent opportunity to view and photograph the diverse wildlife. Your guide will help you spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard.

After lunch, go for a boat cruise upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just few of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’, marvel at the schools of hippos, crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This is also the zone of many birds, species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. After taking shorts of the photogenic Murchison Falls, you will continue to the top of the falls where you will have the amazing view of the falls! See where the Nile -world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. Later, return to your camping site and relax in the evening.

Day 15: Morning transfer to Kibale National Park, via Lake Albert to see the fishing communities – enjoy your Glamping stay.
Have breakfast and transfer to Kibale National Park via Fort portal and through verdant home steads and tea estates, you will reach early so you may have an optional visit to the palace of Tooro at an extra fee. Enjoy your packed lunch prepared by your chef and later check in your Glamping Facility. Overnight: Kibale Forest Camp (Safari Tents)

Day 16: Morning guided Chimpanzee Trekking Experience
After breakfast at your lodge, transfer to the starting point of your Chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest National Park which is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee, man’s closest relative. Kibale’s 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. Kibale is also a home to the rare I’Hoest’s monkey.

Other primates include the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon to mention but a few. We enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others. Although chimp sightings are not guaranteed, visitors stand a good chance of hearing and seeing our distant cousins as they gloom and bond with one another.

Day 18: Morning guided game drive and Bush Breakfast prepared by your chef– Afternoon Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward
Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Have a Morning guided game drive where you have an opportunity to view the massive Rwenzori as backdrop, which provides excellent opportunities to spot lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck. The game drives are memorable methods of discovering a vast array of Ugandan wildlife. Be sure to have your camera ready for these amazing sightings!

You will enjoy a hot lunch and later in the afternoon take a unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and this launch/cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colourful and stupendous, with well over 550 resident species.

Day 17: Morning Tea Experience – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Your guide and chef will pitch your tent at the Camping site designated by Uganda Wildlife Authority
After morning breakfast, enjoy a tea experience activity in fort portal with our site guide representative, you will later transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori back drops to the Park – you will have a guided game drive enroute the camping site. Day 18: Morning guided game drive and Bush Breakfast prepared by your chef– Afternoon Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward

After morning breakfast, we will leisurely pack our lunch and bags, later we will visit the Kataara Women’s Poverty alleviation group that has made the best use of the Elephant dung to make paper products. We will proceed to Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to tree climbing lions. You will pitch the tent with the help of your team and either take a rest this evening or we can have a sundowner game drive to crown the day perfectly. Overnight: Traditional Camping at Enjojo Lodge

Day 20: Full day guided game drives with a Bush Breakfast, prepared by your own chef!
Today we enjoy the wilderness on a Full day guided game drive, encounter its habitants that are highlighted by Uganda’s Tree Climbing Lions as well as numerous Birds and more before returning to the Campsite, yet we can have a guided game drive in the morning and afternoon – speak to your guide about how best you can explore the wilderness today. Day 21: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After your early morning breakfast, pack-up your bags and drive through Ishasha plains for your final visit with the tree climbing lions and other wildlife before heading out of the Queen Elizabeth National Park and on to Bwindi. The drive takes you through the Switzerland of Africa area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving early for Lunch. Day 22: Gorilla Tracking Experience
After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. One of Africa’s major highlights is when you encounter these gentle apes. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young ones. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest, and discover their gorgeous natural habitual and the many species they share it with. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before finally sloping down back to your lodge.

Day 23: Spend the Day at the Camp Relaxing
It has been a long journey coming to this Point and now that we are planning to sum up our unforgettable Bush journey, we are also planning for another long journey home. Hence our team understands that despite the much need extra explorations, we can save the rest for another holiday to come in future thus, spend this day at the camp and relax knowing we have a long journey back to Entebbe the next day. However, if you are still fit, you may enjoy optional activities around the lodge or await to crown the day with a soothing campfire! Overnight: Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp – (Tented)

Day 24: Wake Up and transfer to Entebbe, make a stopover at the Equator and Royal Drum Factory.
After Breakfast, transfer to Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator for water experience, here you will too have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time. Take some photos, then another stop over at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through the generations arriving in the afternoon Overnight: The Boma Boutique Guest House
