This 20 Days Prestigious Uganda Safari starts and Entebbe International Airport. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport – meet & greet
Meet and greet Entebbe International Airport where you’re Prestigious Uganda Safari starts by our representative who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. Your will then be transferred to your hotel where you will be briefed about your adventure safari.

Depending on the time of arrival you are advised to have money Changed on this day and time allowing you may go for city tour with the help of our driver/guide, visit the shopping Malls around town and craft villages to get items which you may need while in upcountry.

Day 2: Have a City drive through Kampala, Visit the fresh fruit and food markets – Transfer to Jinja, the adrenaline capital
Arise at leisure and meet and greet with your guide driver again, you will have rested enough from your long journey. You will have breakfast and drive to Kampala city for a city drive through our craft markets and fresh food markets, see how natives enjoy the city with so much activities. Ugandan people are ranked among the most welcoming communities in the World.
You will have lunch in a selected restaurant and later transfer to Jinja reaching in the early afternoon to relax at the lodge.

Day 3: Full day White water Rafting
After morning Breakfast, meet with our guide representative on ground for briefing then later transfer to the Nile Valley – enjoy the World Class grade five rapids on white waters of the River Nile. Day 4: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Afternoon Rhino Tracking Experience
After your early morning breakfast drive northwest to the Rhino Sanctuary for an opportunity to trek Rhinos, have a hot lunch at the Lodge, There were 15 Rhinos which were reintroduced after their extinction in the 1970s through poaching though the number has expanded due to new births. A local ranger guide will lead you on foot to an up-close encounter with the rhinos and it may take about 1 and half hours. Overnight: Amuka Lodge

Day 5: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
After morning Breakfast, transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park, Uganda’s most remote National Park show casting real African wilderness as it should be – You will have lunch in the selected restaurant enroute and later reach at the Lodge in the evening, enjoy the chaotic music of the prolific birdlife around the lodge. Day 6: Morning Bush breakfast and a Game Drive
Morning Guided drives and walks at to the wilderness are directed by nature not time! Take a game Drive along the sandy dry river bed fringed with palm trees, depending on the time of your game drive, you may climb to view a rocky outcrop and take in the views! We will come across lions, or even cheetah, always surrounded by Zebra, Waterbuck, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Warthogs, Patas monkeys and BIG herds of Buffalo Overnight: Apoka Safari Lodge

Day 7: Morning Relaxation - Lorukul or Kawalakol Experience
Today, you will spend a half day at the Lodge. Later you will be joined by our other representative/site guide who will take you through the Lorukul or Kawalakol tribes in Karamoja, you will learn and record good memories with them. Overnight: Apoka Safari Lodge

Day 8: Domestic Flight transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Have Breakfast and enjoy a domestic flight transfer to Murchsion Falls National Park, you will hover over the rift valley escarpment to Uganda’s premier and largest conservation Park, meet and greet with your guide driver and transfer to the lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation. Day 9: Morning Balloon Safari experience – Afternoon sunset boat cruise
Arise early in the morning and proceed to the starting point of your balloon safari at the Paraa. This early drive in the dark is a chance to see nocturnal animals that live in and around the park. You will meet your pilot and be given a safety briefing and instructions for boarding the balloon as well as landing procedures. The flight gives you great photo opportunities that are different from an ordinary safari on the ground. As you gently drift over the park, you can watch the sun rise as savannah below come to life with birds and animals. After landing, celebrate the flight with a glass of sparkling wine. After the toast, passengers sit down to a delectable bush breakfast prepared by Paraa Safari Lodge. The bush breakfast makes for a memorable ending to your ballooning adventure in Murchison Falls NP.

After lunch, go for a sun set 3hrs return boat cruise upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just few of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’, Marvel at the schools of hippos, crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This is also the zone of many birds, species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.

Day 10: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After your morning breakfast, begin your journey to Kibale Forest National Park. Drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside passing through traditional homesteads, farms and Tea Estates. You will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon. Check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Overnight: Kyaninga Lodge

Day 11: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience
After breakfast at your lodge, transfer to the starting point of your Chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest National Park which is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee, man’s closest relative. Kibale’s 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. Kibale is also a home to the rare I’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon to mention but a few. So you will enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others. Overnight: Kyaninga Lodge.

Day 12: Morning Tea Experience – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National
Arise at leisure and have breakfast, you will meet and greet with our site guide who will transfer you and take you through the process of tea planting to consumption. Later you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori backdrops. Overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 13: Morning Bush breakfast and a guided game drives – Afternoon Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward
Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Have a Morning guided game drive where you have an opportunity to view the massive Rwenzori as backdrop, which provides excellent opportunities to spot lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck. The game drives are memorable methods of discovering a vast array of Ugandan wildlife. Be sure to have your camera ready for these amazing sightings!

You will enjoy a hot lunch and later in the afternoon take a unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and this launch/cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colourful and stupendous, with well over 550 resident species.

Day 14: Transfer to Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – Sundowner game drive in search for tree climbing lions
After your breakfast, pack-up your bags and transfer to Ishasha Plains, a Sector in Queen Elizabeth, enjoy the wilderness on a guided game drive, encounter its habitants that are highlighted by Uganda’s Tree Climbing Lions as well as numerous Birds and more Mammals on a sundowner. Overnight: Ishasha Wilderness Camp

Day 15: Morning relaxation and Afternoon transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park
After your early morning breakfast, pack-up your bags and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park. The drive takes you through the Switzerland of Africa area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the evening. Check into the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. Overnight: Buhoma Lodge

Day 16: Gorilla Tracking Experience
After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. One of Africa’s major highlights is when you encounter these gentle apes. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young ones. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest, and discover their gorgeous natural habitual and the many species they share it with. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before finally sloping down back to your lodge.

Don’t forget to carry your rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, hat, and water proof bag for protection of your camera in case of rain.

Day 17: Domestic Flight to Lake Mburo National Park – Afternoon relaxation at the Lodge
After breakfast, you will have a domestic flight transfer to L. Mburo National Park, the smallest National Park of Uganda. Though being small, it has a lot offer!! Centered on a series of swamp-fringed lakes its birdlife is very rich. The green acacia woodland harbors wildlife like Zebra, warthog, Eland, Impala, not to mention the lake itself, which is home to schools of hippos and crocodiles! Furthermore, Uganda Wildlife Authority recently brought 15 giraffes from Murchison falls to Lake Mburo. Overnight: Mihingo Lodge

Day 18: Morning walking Safari to the Hyena den – Afternoon Boat Safari on Lake Mburo Waters
After breakfast have a safari game walk under the escort of an armed ranger. The Kopjes are particularly interesting with the camouflage kilspringers and topis. Due to cattle herding in the area it is amusing to see zebra grazing alongside the long horned Ankole cattle peaceably. It is exciting to approach wildlife at such close range.

You will lead to The Kazuma Look out, a Higher point in Lake Mburo where you will stand to view the surrounding communities, Hills, Lake Mburo and the dotted savannah of the Park the is a home to quiet a good number of mammals and birds, You will visit the Hyenas Den and you will too speak to your guide about other interesting spots he may suggest to Work through.
Later in the afternoon at 16:00 enjoy the boat ride on Lake Mburo and get quite close to the croc and hippos. As you return to your Lodge, you may have an evening game drive as you return to your lodge.

Day 20: Morning Shoe Bill Exploration on Mabamba Swamp – Transfer to Entebbe international Airport for your flight transfer back home or to the next destination

After morning Breakfast, drive west of Entebbe to Mabamba Swamp which is one of the best and most convenient places to see the elusive Shoebill. You will meet with the Local guides who will take you through the briefing and later you will enjoy a few minutes in a small canoe to the papyrus reeds that opens up into a flat grassy wetlands where a number of Shoebill can regularly be seen.

This bird is easily spotted in the morning hence you may have a chance a make a great photo while it stalks its prey of mudfish or frogs, enjoy their hunting tricks as they stand absolutely still for long periods waiting the movements of their prey and then suddenly strike with a marvellous speed. Finally enjoy a boat tour across Lake Victoria which will give you more opportunities to view more birds.

You will visit souvenir markets to get gifts for your family back home and do not forget to sample the coffee shops for different coffee drinks before your flight back home or to the next destination – our office representative will be with you on this day to share your experiences with.
